WHEN you've been living in the same place for years, it's very easy to get bored of your tired, tattered furniture. Trust us, we get it.

But rather than investing in some new pieces for your home, one woman has revealed how she revamped her "tatty" pine furniture with just a simple slick of paint – and others are now rushing to do the same.

Raving about her upcyling job on the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, the woman wrote: "I was going to get rid of my solid pine furniture as it started to look old and tatty and pay a tidy penny for something new."

Instead, the woman decided to try redecorating her furniture for herself and bought a pot of beige furniture paint for £9 from B&Q.

After removing the black bolts from her living room cupboards, she then added dainty crystal knobs she bought off of Amazon to add a glitzy finish.

And she didn't just stop there – the savvy woman also revamped her TV stand in the same chic shade of purse-friendly paint.

She added: "Took me a day to do as it needed two coats."

What's more, this silk-finish paint doesn't require a primer underneath – which saves at least a few hours work.

Unsurprisingly, her quick home transformation proved a hit with other members on the group who have been inspired by her quick fixes.

One replied: "Looks lovely, well done you! Feel proud of yourself."

Another added: "Looks absolutely amazing. I need to do this with mine."

"Amazing," a third wrote. "My mum does the same thing when her wooden furniture starts getting a bit worn, she just paints it and adds new handles and it looks brand new."

"Just shows what a tin of paint and some other bits of glam can do to spice something up," another added. "So well done."

For more incredible home transformations, this thrifty mum transformed her home using free wallpaper samples and people have hailed her an interior design "inspiration".

And this mum created a Mrs Hinch-inspired kitchen using £28 Amazon sticky wrap after being quoted £7k for a renovation.

Plus this mum created a stunning glittery staircase for a fiver using B&M wrapping paper.
