A WOMAN hilariously pranked a lad who gave her his number by pretending to sign him up to adopt a chimpanzee.

Emily Cain decided to have some fun with a bloke, and began texting him messages from an ‘animal rescue centre’.

Sharing the hilarious exchange on Twitter, she said: “A lads just sent me his number so thought I’d take advantage of it.”

Emily began by thanking him and congratulating him for “successfully
adopting bubbles the chimp!”

She told him that £7.50 would be charged to his bill each month.

She sneakily added that the lad could text ‘stop’ at any time to cancel it, but when he did she decided to toy with him further.

Every time he tried to cancel the fake direct debit, Emily added more onto his imaginary bill.

She replied: “Thank you and congratulations from us at animal rescue centre and bubbles himself for donating an additional £5 per month to help for food and water for bubbles!”

His bill then went up again, with Emily adding: “Thank you and congratulations for paying an additional £3 per month to receive a cuddly toy version of bubbles!”

At this point the poor lad has been texting ‘stop’ to every message, but now starts swearing.

But Emily doesn’t stop with the prank – and increases the amount again.

She tells the unsuspecting bloke he’s now paying £8 for “successfully adopting bubbles poorly mother, bonnie.”

At this point the lad explodes over text, replying: “I swear to god if any money comes out of my bank on direct debit I’m going to the police.

“You horrible b*******.”

In the end his bill comes to £24.50, with Emily continually thanking him for helping the “endangered and vulnerable” monkeys.

Desperate to stop the money going out of his account, he asks if there’s a support number – which Emily uses to prank him yet again.

She gives him a number and tells him it’s 50p per second to call, with the lad now simply typing ‘help’ in capitals.

He still doesn’t clock he’s being messed with, so when Emily then pretends to be a support officer, the unsuspecting bloke begins his text with a goodwill message.

He says: “Hello, hope you’ve had a good Christmas.

“I received a text message today regarding me paying a monthly direct debit to save a monkey.”

Finally, Emily reveals she was behind all the messages, writing: “You’ve been pranked by the prank patrol.”

When the penny finally drops, the lad simply says: “You horrible c***.”

The messages have since gone viral, racking up more than 20,000 likes, and people found the joke hilarious.

One person said: “The £ .50 per second had me in stitches.”

Another wrote: “I can’t breathe from laughing.”

A third commented: “Hahaha this tickled me. Great effort.”

While this person added: "Thank you for making me laugh."
