A HORRIFIED wife says that her husband stains their bed every night despite the fact that he showers twice a day.

The mum, from Queensland, Australia, took to the Facebook group Mums Who Cook Clean & Organise where she shared a snap of their very mucky looking bed.

The couple’s headboard is upholstered in a pale grey fabric which is covered in a dark mark along with the white bed sheets.

The woman explained that her hubby works as a plumber, and picks up dirt on the job.

However, even after scrubbing himself twice daily, he still manages to leave a grubby stain on the bed.

Begging for help, she wrote: “How can I stop this happening to all of my sheets, pillow cases and bedhead? They are cleaned regularly, and hubby showers morning and night.

“I'm not about washing them daily but I may consider throwing him out if I can't find a solution.”

She added: “Between him and the kids, I can't have nice things… Looks like I'm getting new dark sheets.”

Fellow cleaning enthusiasts were quick to offer their advice to the disgruntled wife with it being a seemingly common problem.

One said: “I have a mechanic husband and same here. I only use dark sheets and he puts an old tee shirt on top of his pillowcase to stop it happening there.”

Another agreed adding: “My hubby's side of the bed was like this as well. He showers so much though and works in an office job.

“I have found that 100 per cent cotton sheets helped. It's still obvious which side is his but it's nowhere near as bad.”

"My husband has worked in mining all his life. I resorted to dark sheets and pillow slips. I use double mattress protectors as a barrier too."

In other cleaning news, this woman's lemon peel hack guarantees shiny glasses every time.

And one woman shared that she mops her walls and doors to get her home smelling fresh.

Plus another cleaning fan revealed why you should never wash towels and tea towels together.
