A YOUNG couple has hit back at the backlash they’ve received over getting married at the young age of just 18. 

Cash and Kate decided from an early age that they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together.

When they turned 18, they tied the knot as they both wore white to their wedding and danced together following the ceremony. 

But this has caused some hate from the public, with some asking them some personal questions, while others judged them outright. 

In one clip, the couple could be seen sitting in their car as they said: “Things people tell you when you get married young”. 

Kate then said: “Umm, did you have her sign a prenup?”

Kate then shared the third common phrase that comes out of people’s mouths as she said: “They’ll probably only last like two years…” 

And another one they hear is: “How are y’all gonna afford all of that?”

Kate then said people tell them: “But your brain isn’t even fully developed until you’re 25-years-old.”

Cash then shared another, which was: “Don’t you want to live your life first and drink alcohol and do hardcore drugs…” 

He then joked: “And make out with hot dudes,” to which Kate replied: “What?”

People were quick to comment on the YouTube post as one person wrote: “Your brain not being fully developed till 25 is actually a genuine argument”.

Another said: “Boy still has to go thru puberty. What’s the rush,” while a third accused: “the best part is they didn't deny none of it cus they know it's true,” followed by two crying emojis.

Others, however, were more supportive of their relationship as one said: “My parents got married at 18-17 and they have been together for 20 years and are really happy I hate when people judge it there choice not you’re choice.”

Another wrote: “That's the point of marriage, to build a life together and grow and develop as a strong unit. I wish a long and happy life. You deserve it.”

And a third added: “I was 22, my wife was 24, we got married in 2001, we're still together today. 

“Best advice I ever got; "Don't go to bed angry, no matter how long it takes, resolve it before you go to sleep."”
