A HAIRSTYLIST was displeased with her salon's new dress code — she thought it was inappropriate for anyone who wasn't a size 00.

Bailey Lavender (@thebaileylavender), a South Carolina-based hairdresser, shared the true story with over a million TikTok followers.

She explained that a new dress code had been implemented at the first salon she assisted at but the expectations were absurd.

The salon expected all its employees to follow in the footsteps of dressing like one employee, Brooke.

However, Bailey had many unanswered questions.

"With this new wardrobe change, are you going to be paying for that?" she asked.

"I am broke because you don't pay me enough."

"No Bailey, we do not need to discuss your money problems, that's your problem and for you to figure out," the salon replied.

Bailey had another question, however.

"Brooke is like a double 00, she is itty-bitty," she said.

"I'm 5'11" with curves, clothes on Brooke who is barely 5ft, look inappropriate on me," she continued.

"The things that look cute on Brooke will not look cute on me, so are you wanting me to dress like Brooke?"

The salon, once again, refused to answer.

"Now Bailey, like I said, we're going to need you to figure out your own problems," they said.

People took to the comments to share their thoughts.

"Told them before when they are saying that you have to wear a specific thing they legally have to provide it if they're making it mandatory," advised one commenter.

"I worked for a headstart that did this," empathized another.

"Their solution was us shopping at Goodwill."

"I'm invested in this entire story," said a third simply.
