SHE'S RENOWNED for her colourful wardrobe – and now the secrets to the Queen's style are set to be explored in a tell-all book which will delight royal fans.

And the story behind the 93-year-old monarch's fashion choices will be revealed by one of her very closest advisers – her dresser Angela Kelly.

In the upcoming title The Other Side of the Coin: The Queen, the Dresser and the Wardrobe, Her Majesty's key confidante will delve into 25-years of curating her iconic looks.

Angela, 51, who has served at Buckingham Palace since 1994, holds the positions of Personal Advisor and Curator (The Queen’s Jewellery, Insignias and Wardrobe) and In-house Designer.

Despite being a current member of the royal household, she has been given "extraordinary permission" to publish details of her "working relationship" with the Queen.

It is the first time the monarch has allowed one of her staff to do so.

The book – which will be published by Harper Collins worldwide on 29th October – will give readers a unique insight into the Queen's revered style.

This includes unseen photographs from Angela's personal collection, as well as anecdotes about their friendship and how the pair prepare outfits for formal occasions.

Samantha Cohen CVO, Assistant Private Secretary to The Queen, said: "This book documents the unique working relationship between Her Majesty The Queen and the woman who has been her Personal Advisor and Senior Dresser for more than two decades: Angela Kelly.

"It gives a rare glimpse into the demands of the job of supporting the Monarch, and we gain a privileged insight into a successful working relationship."

A spokesperson for HarperCollins added: "The Queen has personally given Angela her blessing to share their unparalleled bond with the world.

"Angela Kelly is the first serving member of the Royal Household to have been given this extraordinary permission.

"Whether it’s preparing for a formal occasion or brightening Her Majesty’s day with a playful joke, Angela’s priority is to serve and support.

"Sharing never-before-seen photographs – many from Angela’s own private collection – and charming anecdotes of their time spent together, this revealing book provides memorable insights into what it’s like to work closely with The Queen, to curate her wardrobe and to discover a true and lasting connection along the way."

In a 2007 interview with the Telegraph, Angela revealed that she is treated with "respect" by the Queen.

She revealed: "We [the royal dressers] are not treated like flunkies.

"It's not like that. The Queen treats us with real respect.

"I don't know why the Queen seems fond of me – because I don't give her an easy time! I do think she values my opinion, but she is the one who is in control.

"I do worry about her and care about her. But we also have a lot of fun together. The Queen has a wicked sense of humour and is a great mimic. She can do all accents – including mine."

In other royal news, unseen snaps of Meghan Markle have been shared ahead of the final episode of Suits.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex "break rules by asking public to call them by their names".

And Archie's mum paid tribute to Princess Diana by dressing her fourth-month-old son in an identical bobble hat to one worn by Prince Harry in 1985.
