THE Queen could “gift Meghan Markle and Prince Harry” a holiday home, according to a royal expert.

Her Majesty spends summers at Balmoral Castle, the Cambridges often visit Anmer Hall in Norfolk, and speculation is rife as to whether the Sussexes could soon get their own retreat.

Speaking to Fabulous Digital, Phil Dampier said the Queen will “definitely” give the Sussex family-of-three a holiday home in due course.

He said: “It’s a difficult one as Frogmore is semi-rural in the sense that it’s not out in the sticks.

“I think the obvious place for them would be the Cotswolds where they had a place before.

“That’s where Meghan’s friends are so I’m sure she’d rather be that way than in Norfolk.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex previously rented a £2.5million Cotswolds love nest owned by David Cameron's property tycoon pal, Nicholas Johnston.

They are said to have hosted a number of A-list pals there, including George and Amal Clooney, Serena Williams and husband Alexis Ohanian plus Priyanka Chopra and her hubby Nick Jonas.

Phil pointed out that a number of royal properties will be up for grabs when the Queen passes away.

He said: “Long-term, when the Queen dies, they are going to have a lot of properties. Charles will have access Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, Balmoral.

“He’s not going to need Highgrove, so the obvious thing would be for Highgrove to be a home for William or Harry.”

Buckingham Palace was contacted but declined to comment.

Currently Highgrove House in the family residence of the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall in Gloucestershire.

Phil added that Prince Harry and Meghan might not be in an immediate rush to get a holiday home “after all the controversy over the cost of Frogmore Cottage.”

The couple recently came under fire after it emerged they spent £2.4million of the taxpayers’ money on renovating their new family home at Windsor.
