Stars make joyful appearance on the runway in Paris
09/29/2019Movie stars, hit singers, British icons and famous supermodels rubbed shoulders on the catwalk on Saturday for a spectacular L’Oreal runway show.
Paris Fashion Week played host to a celebrity spectacular on Saturday as stars including Amber Heard, Helen Mirren, Cheryl Cole and Aishwarya Rai took to the runway for L’Oreal.
Watched by veteran Super Naomi Campbell, the starry line-up strutted down the runway at the historic Monnaie de Paris building in outfits borrowed from 10 leading fashion houses.
Highlights included a barefoot Helen Mirren sashaying down the runway, Eva Longoria being joined by her one-year-old son Santiago and the debut appearance of Amber Heard, the brand’s new global spokesperson.
“On this occasion, we are proud to unite our global family of inspirational women in celebration of beauty excellence and inclusivity,” said Delphine Viguier-Hovasse, L’Oreal Paris’ Global Brand Ambassador.
Cheryl Cole
Cole’s partnership with L’Oreal officially ended last year, but she’s still a friend of the brand and wore a striking black leather snakeskin-effect Balmain dress and black knee-high boots for her turn on the runway.
Aishwarya Rai
The actor stunned the crowds in a floral Giambattista Valli gown and fringed ankle boots, complete with a beehive updo.
Geri Horner
Victoria Beckham may be the former Spice Girl with the most fashion clout but her bandmate looked completely at home on the catwalk in a sleek black leather dress and spiky stiletto heels.
Eva Longoria
The longtime L’Oreal ambassador made like a conductor as she brandished a baton during her walk on the runway in an all-black ensemble.
Helen Mirren
The legendary British actor delighted the crowds with an energetic barefoot display in a flowing floral gown.
Amber Heard
The new L’Oreal global spokesperson strutted down the runway in a sharp Balmain suit teamed with intense winged eyeliner.
Camila Cabello
Camila Cabello was another black suit fan, teaming hers with block platform sandals and a skinny neck tie.
Andie MacDowell
The actor looked every inch a supermodel in an elegant black dress with a belted waist and cutaway shoulder detailing.
Aja Naomi King
Aja Naomi King embraced her turn on the catwalk in a yellow, red and black lace dress with red strappy buckled heels.
Santiago makes an appearance
The celebrity friends embraced during the finale as Santiago cuddled up to his mum.
The Supers
Soo-Joo Park, Liya Kebede and Doutzen Kroes were among the supermodels sharing the runway with stars who usually watch them at work, while runway pro Naomi Campbell took her place on the front row.
