WHILE chrome appliances certainly give your home a stylish finish, there's no denying the troublesome streak marks and fingerprints they attract – even after cleaning.

But a mum-of-two has revealed shaving foam is the answer to incredibly shiny surfaces and it'll keep your stainless steel kitchen items sparkling for days.

Chantel Mila, from Melbourne, Australia, is known for her handy household tips and tricks, and has built up a following of thousands thanks to her spotless home.

In her latest clip on TikTok, the cleaning obsessed-mum shows how a cheap can of shaving foam can quickly and easily remove all marks – including food stains, streaks from cleaning products and fingerprints.

"With four little hands in our household, fingerprints and streaks were a daily occurrence," she captioned a the clip.

"Honestly, I've been trying many different methods over the last few months and hadn't found one that lasted or had amazing results… UNTIL NOW!!

"This is how to give your mirrors a streak-free shine and keep them cleaner for longer."

All you have to do is spray one pump of foam on to a microfibre cloth and gently buff the surface.

The bathroom product is ideal for mirrors too, according to Chantel, and it'll have them completely smudge-free in no time.

Amazed, the mum admitted: "Shaving cream is amazing at removing streaks, de-fogging mirrors and preventing finger prints.

"I've tried so many methods and this is the only one that works."

Thousands who saw the simple method online were equally amazed and said they would definitely be using shaving foam from now on.

"I'm trying this, mine are always streaky," one commenter posted.

And another gushed: "That is so clean, it looks like a gap in the oven door!".

Some suggested glass cleaner with newspaper, which is a popular tried and tested method.

But Chantel reckons shaving foam is far better at ensuring the streak-free finish lasts, and it prevents fingerprints too.
