The singer was recently filming a music video for another single off Rare when she stepped out in a slinky chainmail dress featuring a cowl neckline and open back. Selena paired the sexy dress with black lace-up, knee-high boots and bouncy curls.

Though it’s still going strong, the chainmail trend saw a major resurgence after Kendall Jenner wore a silver chainmail dress to her 21st birthday party in 2016. The dress also looks practically identical to the one Paris Hilton wore to celebrate her 21st birthday. Since then, the unconventional material has been a popular party go-to, and we can only imagine which of Selena’s songs warrant such a fun music video look.
