OHPOLLY – the go-to brand for those who want to look glam without having to spend a fortune.

But loyal fans were less than impressed after discovering the popular company has upped their prices, with garments retailing for a whopping £700.

Mortified, one of the shoppers, Ellie Scales (@ellieeewbu), took to TikTok to share the horror with others.

''OhPolly, have you lost your f***ing head? £700 for a dress?''

The pricey number in question, the fashion lover showed in the video, was an all black, figure-hugging maxi dress with hand embellished jewels and beading.

Although the garment, ''inspired by old Hollywood glamour'', was indeed stunning, fellow shoppers couldn't believe their eyes when they saw the price tag.

Just as unpleasantly shocked they were with a similar style dress in white – this maxi dress would set you back by £650.

''I was actually buzzing for this drop… But now I need to take out a loan.''

Despite OhPolly claiming the first garment's sold out, social media users were sceptical.

They reckoned the brand had realised no one was going to purchase it at the sky-high price and this was just a clever tactic to create buzz around the expensive number.

''They are acting like house of CB,'' a social media user commented.

Another agreed, writing: ''Why are they thinking they’re that high end.

''The one outfit I ever bought from them broke 2 hours into wearing it.''

Whilst some branded the new range a ''joke'', others reckoned the glam line looked almost identical to all their other dresses.

One style enthusiast said: ''It’s just silly cos it looks the exact same as their other collection which are about £50-60 a piece at which their customers already can’t afford.''

Amongst OhPolly fans there have been many speculations as to why the prices have suddenly sky-rocketed.

Some believed it's because the garments have been made in Europe, while a group of viewers said it's to do with hand embellishments that take time to add.

The Sun has contacted OhPolly for comment.
