MUMS are raving about a highchair from Aldi which converts into a toddler seat – saying it’s a dupe of a designer version.

The supermarket is selling the Mamia Baby to Toddler highchair as part of its Specialbuys range, but parents noticed it looked somewhat familiar.

Mums have hailed the £54.99 seat as a near dupe for the trendy Tripp Trapp Chair from Stokke, which comes with a whopping £178 pricetag.

Both chairs convert from a high chair into a toddler seat, with Aldi's version able to be used up until age 10.

Describing the chair, which comes in grey, Aldi said: “Invest in something that is durable, sturdy and will stand the test of time with this Mamia Grey Wooden Highchair.

“As your child grows, this gorgeous highchair grows with them, and is adjustable to fit from 6 months to approx. 10 years of age, thanks to the removable tray, 3-point safety harness and bumper & harness for older children.”

Sharing a snap of their bargain to Facebook group, to Latest Deals, Extreme Couponing & Bargains, one mum said: “For anyone who has wanted a stoke tripp trapp high chair but not loved the price, aldi has a copycat for just £54.99!

“Comes in grey or natural.”

Fellow parents are raving about the chair online, with one mum giving it a five star review.

She said: “Really great highchair for a fraction of the price of other brands. Really easy to put together and looks great in our home!”

Others thanked the mum for sharing her find on Facebook, with one parent commenting: “That looks great – love the colour!”

Another wrote: “This is cool.”
