Mum finds stranger has paid for daughter’s birthday cake & is a ‘crying mess’ after she reads emotional note they left

A MUM has revealed how she became a "crying mess" after a stranger picked up the bill for her daughter's birthday cake in memory of her late son.

Earlier this week, mum-of-two Holly Grimet went to a local supermarket in Texas to pick up the birthday cake and cupcakes she'd ordered for her daughter's birthday.

But when she went to pay for them, Holly was told that the bill had already been sorted.

The employee then handed Holly a note from the woman who had paid for the cakes which had been pulled out of a notebook.

Posting a picture of the note on Facebook, Holly said she wanted to read the note immediately but decided to wait until she was outside where she became a "crying mess".

The anonymous wellwisher starts by explaining how 22 February – the day Holly was buying the cakes – would have been her son Nehemiah's eighth birthday.

She wrote: "I want to remember my son by doing good to others.I hope you enjoy your child's cake and I hope your day is special."

Having sadly lost her son, the mum then urges Holly to "hold her daughters a little tighter" and "tell them how much she loves them".

"Our children are such special gifts," she added. "I hope your day is beautiful."

The woman's note is even more emotional for Holly because her daughter Eve has just turned eight.

The emotional note in full

"My son Nehemiah would be eight years old today. I want to remember my son by doing good to others.

"I hope you enjoy your child's cake and I hope your day is special.

"Hold your baby a little tighter today, watch them as they play, be patient with them, kiss their sweet little hand and tell them how much you love them.

"Our children are special gifts! I hope your day is beautiful. Much love from me and my angel in heaven to your family."

In an interview with 9Honey, Holly confirmed that she's trying to find the generous mum and said: "She took a sad day and turned it around for good."

Writing her own note to the grieving mum, Holly said: "Thank you for this reminder of the gift of life and how sweet it is to celebrate.

"My daughter cried for a party and I reluctantly gave in and threw together a last-minute party not knowing this would happen.

"Thank you from the bottom of my heart for opening yours and giving. If you know this mum personally give her a big hug from me.

"This how kindness works, we spread the good deeds to rid out all the hate."

In more parenting news, pregnant Sue Radford shared a photo of her enormous baby bump as she announced it's just six weeks until her 22nd child arrives.

And this mum-of-16 showed off her gigantic £232 weekly food shop – including 72 eggs, 36 litres of milk and 30 chicken drumsticks.

Plus a furious mum was lunchbox shamed by her five-year-old daughter's TEACHERS for giving her too much food.
