MANY of us are guilty of never scrubbing our washing machine and assuming it self-cleans on each cycle.

However, that doesn't stop the stubborn build up of grime which gradually occurs over time.

But luckily, avid cleaning fans have taken to a Mrs Hinch-inspired Facebook to share a very handy hack that can help remove grime in a matter of seconds, making the arduous chore a whole lot simpler.

And best of all – it costs as little as 80p.

As reported by The Express, the initial post that sparked the conversation read: “My washing machine really smells musty every time it runs."
