AS BRITONS continue to wake up to ice cold temperatures they're still struggling to remove mould from their homes.

But Mrs Hinch cleaning fans have revealed their top tips to remove mould from window blinds for as little as 10p.

Taking to Facebook, one of Mrs Hinch's fans asked for help on removing mould from window blinds.

They wrote: "Can someone recommend any way I can get mould off blinds, I can't wash them in the washing machine I've tried and they get ruined?"

Accompanying her post, Jordan shared a snap of white, vertical blinds, which had an array of mould spots aligning the bottom of them.

Mrs Hinch's army of fans have made plenty of social media groups to share their favourite cleaning tips.

And the post was inundated with comments from other cleaning fans sharing their top tips.

One person suggested using bleach to remove the stains.

They wrote: "I put mine in the bath with cold water and cheap bleach. Came up lovely."

Others recommended using Mould and Mildew spray.

One advised: "I sprayed mine with Astonish mould spray, left them for 20 minutes then dipped them in warm water and left them to drip dry – came out like new."

Another penned: "The lining of my curtains looked like that – I sprayed them with mould and mildew cleaner and was shocked the next day when it had disappeared."

A third added: "Mould and mildew spray and use a magic sponge."

Meanwhile, a fourth commented: "I just sprayed mine with mould and mildew spray with an old towel underneath, they came up like new."

One person revealed they can be cleaned in the washing machine and revealed how they do it.

They said: "I wash mine in the washing machine all the time. I take them down, take everything off them, put them in a washing bag, or fold them carefully in a pillow case and pin them down.

"Wash on quick wash, iron over and re hang – lot of work but look lovely when done," they added.
