Marks and Spencer launch Ombles, Marmite Hot Cross Buns, Lovenuts and Percy Pig Pancakes as part of Spring food releases

01/28/2021

MARKS and Spencer has launched a number of soon-to-be foodie favourites this Spring and we want them all.

Amongst the launches are a new chocolate favourite to rival Colin; the Ombles, Marmite Hot Cross buns, and more.

Let's be honest, it's dark and miserable out there, and Marks and Spencer's new launches are sure to put a smile on anyone's face this lockdown.

The new launches are available from marksandspencer.co.uk, and in selected food stores.

However you'll need to be quick if you want to grab yours as they're flying off the shelves.

With most of us stuck inside for the foreseeable future, many of us are spending time in the kitchens; cooking up a storm.

To help us perfect our culinary skills, and bring some fun to the kitchen M&S has launched a number of incredible foodie treats this Spring.

Plus with Valentine's Day, Pancake Day, Mother's Day all on the horison, they're perfect for a special treat.

Here's what they've launched – and we're loving.

Lovenut

Amongst the launches is the interestingly named Lovenut; made in their in store bakeries, it's a heavenly hybrid of the yumyum and doughnut, then decorated with freeze dried raspberries and chocolate hearts.

Priced at £1.50 each, they're the perfect Valentine's Day snack!

The Ombles

Marks and Spencer's brand new chocolate brand, The Ombles, is their first new face in almost 30 years.

The must have treat this Spring, The Ombles will cost you £6, or £5 for an adorable two pack of Mini Ombles.

They're made using an exclusive luxury Belgian milk chocolate recipe, with complete chocolate goggly eyes and are rolled in a flaky milk chocolate – sounds delicious right?

They look like the perfect alternative to eggs this year, and we're sure Percy will be jealous of the new attention.

Marmite Hot Cross Buns

Marmite, you either love it or hate it, and these Hot Cross Buns are sure to split opinion too.

An exclusive twist on the Hot Cross Bun, the savoury twist is a squishy, cheesy, Marmite-Hot Cross Bun.

The new Easter treats are made with mature Cheddar, Red Leicester and Marmite®, encased in a dough which has been enriched with butter and free range egg to make it extra soft and fluffy.

The 4 Cheese Hot Cross Buns & Marmite are priced at £1.65 or  2 packs for £2.50.

Pancake Day fans, this one is for you.

M&S' new buttermilk pancakes are the latest addition to their Percy collection, and contain Percy Pig dessert sauce and raspberry jelly pieces – making them taste just like the popular sweet.

We recommend pairing with the Percy Pig desert sauce(£2) for an extra Percy kick.
