LN-CC Taps Children of the Discordance for One-of-One Exclusives

10/17/2020

Dalston-based retailer LN-CC is celebrating its tenth anniversary by collaborating with 20 brands on a series of eco-conscious capsules that repurpose deadstock fabrics. One of the labels the retailer has brought onto this project is Children of the Discordance, teaming up with its designer Hideaki Shikama for a slew of one-of-one garments crafted from upcycled paisley bandanas and vintage fabrics from his personal collection.

The capsule includes a denim jacket, a pouch bag and a bucket hat. Meticulously reconstructed with a variety of contrasting denim panels, the jacket’s back features a large pattern, made up of squares, diamonds and rectangles, that mirrors the look of traditional quilts. In contrast, the front of the piece has been kept minimal, stripping away its chest pockets. The pouch bag is made using a mix of old bandanas. It comes with a round black shoulder strap made from upcycled materials, while the bag itself displays clashing colors and patterns. Following a similar design is the bucket hat, also made with repurposed bandanas. A horizontal metal plate above the brim marked with “Children of the Discordance” branding finalizes the piece.

LN-CC’s Children of the Discordance exclusives will be available on October 17 on LN-CC’s website — prices have yet to be confirmed.
