KATE Middleton has driven us all green with envy looking spectacular in a glittery, emerald Jenny Packham dress on the royal tour to Pakistan.

The Duchess of Cambridge, 37, looked every inch the royal star as she stunned in the floor-length gown, accompanied by husband Prince William, 37.

The Duke of Cambridge cut a smart figure in a traditional Sherwani outfit by Pakistani brand Naushemian, which matched his wife’s gown.

Kate has proved she is a firm fan of Jenny Packham gowns, which can retail upwards of £3,000, and she has worn them for a number of past engagements.

For tonight’s event, her dangling statement earrings are from O’Nitaa, which specialise in South Asian couture, her show-stopping sapphire engagement ring, and £575 Jimmy Choo strappy sandals.

Mum-of-three Kate wore her trademark brunette locks swept back in a half up do, which showed off her natural-looking make-up .

The decision for the couple to wear green is no doubt in tribute to it being Pakistan's national colour.

The duke and duchess arrived at the National Monument in Islamabad by a colourful riskshaw and royal fans have gushed over their incredible outfits.

Tonight’s event includes a special reception hosted by the British High Commissioner to Pakistan, where the duke is expected to make a speech.

In his address, William is expected to say that the UK will continue to support the Commonwealth country as a "key partner and friend" during a visit which hopes to strengthen ties between the two nations.

Tonight’s eye-catching look is the latest in Kate’s royal tour wardrobe.

Earlier today, the duchess stunned in a royal blue shalwar kameez by local designer Maheen Khan, as she visited a local school with William to champion the importance of quality education.

Yesterday, Kate looked elegant in an aqua shalwar kameez when she arrived in Pakistan wearing a traditional Pakistani outfit comprised of a long dress and trousers — by British designer Catherine Walker.

It was seen by many royal observers as a respectful nod to the traditions of the strict Muslim country.

The couple's visit is the first official one to be made by the royal family to the country since Prince Charles and Camilla visited back in 2006.

In their public announcement of the trip, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge said their visit will span more than 1,000km of the hardline country.

The tour has been dubbed their "most complex ever" by Kensington Palace and comes amid heightened tensions between India and Pakistan over the disputed region of Kashmir, with which both countries share a border.

Details of the royal couple's engagements will be released each day amid the heightened security concerns.
