Kate Middleton married Prince William in 2011 in Westminster Abbey in a gorgeous Alexander McQueen dress. Ever since that moment, the Duchess of Cambridge has captivated royal fans with her elegant style. Kate causes a style frenzy among royal fans whenever she appears in a professional capacity on a royal engagement.

For instance, on November 8 the Duchess wore a beautiful red coat to a carol service at Westminster Abbey.

Analysis of Google search data revealed online searches for ‘Red Coat’ skyrocketed 376 percent worldwide on December 9, hours after the Duchess was photographed wearing the red Catherine Walker coat.

This online interest exploded to three times the average volume in one day.

This was an unprecedented spike in interest for red coats according to Google search data analysis.

The coat was a scarlet design by designer Catherine Walker.

Daena Borrowman, Marketing Manager at jewellerybox spoke exclusively to Express.co.uk about Kate’s extraordinary style.

She said: “Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge was seen wearing a festive red bow-adorned coat dress to the ‘Together at Christmas’ carol service.

“The long dress created by designer Catherine Walker featured a large red bow at the collar and showed off three red buttons, which is a common theme amongst royal outfits.

“She paired the outfit with an elegant pair of Gianvito Rossi pumps and some dangling earrings borrowed from the Queen herself.

“The outfit as a whole was extremely elegant, festive and fitting for the nature of the occasion – so it’s no surprise that the public are loving this look.”

The data revealed searches for ‘Catherine Walker’ exploded 1,150 percent on December 9 in the UK.

The research also showed online searches for ‘Miu Miu Bag’ exploded 405 percent in the UK on December 9, after the Duchess paired her coat with a red suede Miu Miu bag.

A spokesperson for Casino Bee, who conducted the research, commented on the findings for Express.co.uk.

They said: “The Duchess of Cambridge is undoubtedly one of the most influential women on the planet when it comes to fashion and style and these findings only amplify that.

“It is a designers dream to have The Duchess of Cambridge wear one of their pieces as anything she is photographed wearing, instantly sells out.

“The Duchess has an extraordinary ability to match her wardrobe with the events she attends.

“The festive red colour compliments the tone of the carol service and emphasises the thought and care put into The Duchess of Cambridge’s outfits.

“The surge in interest for the pieces the Duchess wears can be attributed to her timeless and elegant style.

“She is very aware of the power of fashion and how it can emphasise an event that she attends.

“Yet, she never uses her outfits to overshadow anyone or any cause.”
