I'm a wedding photographer – a groom once dissed the bride's dress and I can't believe she still married him
04/15/2022A WEDDING photographer has revealed one of the most shocking things she's witnessed while on the job.
She claimed a groom made a rude remark about his bride's dress, but she married him anyway.
Photographer Grace Troutman recalled the eyebrow-raising incident in a video she shared online.
"When one of my past grooms turned around to see the bride during the first look and said: 'Yeah, you look nice I guess,'" she wrote.
She said she nearly dropped her camera when the groom said that and called it her "wildest first look reaction."
In the comment section of the video, Troutman agreed with a commenter saying the man seemed insecure.

Several others expressed their shock as well and claimed they would call off the wedding immediately if their husband-to-be dismissed their dress like that.
"And this is why first looks are such a great idea!
"You don’t get the right reaction, wedding is off!" another person exclaimed.

"My ex-husband said: 'Yeah that's a nice dress.
'I'm not sure what you want me to say,'" one woman recalled.
Another photographer wrote: "Once had a groom say in an interview for the video: 'I don’t think… well… no, I don’t think there’s any other girl I’d want to be with….'"
Troutman said she did not know if the couple in her story are still married.
