FROM spelling mistakes to bizarre artistic choices, we've all heard horror stories of awkward tattoo blunders.

But according to tattoo artist Dave Chudley, there are three inkings that people most commonly request to have lasered off.

So, if you're thinking about getting one, you might want to think again…

In a clip shared to TikTok (@ink.body1), he begins: "Here are the top three most commonly lasered tattoos."

First up, Dave says are people's names.

"Not surprised by that one bit – you should know better!" he quips.

"Now, from a tattoo artist standpoint, that's double money because you're either going to go and get it covered up, or you're going to pay them to get it removed – win, win!"

Next up on popular inkings people ask to have lasered off are face tattoos.

"Again, not a massive shock because of how trendy face tattoos are at the moment, but when it comes to a face tattoo, you kind of don't have an option of covering it up," Dave explains.

"You kind of either have to laser it or just live with it, so I can see that!"

But the tattoo taking the top spot for most commonly requested to be removed are tribal tattoos.

"I knew tribal was going to be up there, although I didn't think it was going to be quite up there," he says.

"You think just have it covered up, but the more you think about it, it's so bold and big and it's fairly difficult to cover that up.

"Also, black is actually the easiest colour to get out of the skin
so I can sort of see that – laser it out, get a cover up on top."

The post has since garnered quite the reaction- with very mixed responses.

"Only got my kids names tattooed, told my husband of 20 years that I will never get his name lol," wrote one.

A second enthused: "I just got a cover up lol."

A third penned: "I love name tattoos. I think every meaningful tattoo is beautiful. No matter if you'll regret it."
