I'm a savvy shopper & TK Maxx uses loads of secret codes… here's how to tell if your buy is really a bargain or not | The Sun

A TK Maxx fan has revealed what all the numbers on their labels really stand for – so next time you go shopping, keep this in mind.

Alex Pavlova, better known as Beauty For Everybody on TikTok, shared the discovery with her 36.2k fans and some branded the information a game changer.

According to Alex, who loves all things hair and beauty, there are three types of secret codes the retailer uses and each one means something else.

If you spot ''1'' on the top of your price label, the savvy shopper insisted that the item had been produced specifically for TK Maxx.

However, if there's a ''2'' – this should be the second line from top – Alex reckoned it's genuine unsold stock from popular brands.

Next up in the now-viral video was ''7'' – this digit indicates that the product had been packed away from a previous year.

''Thank me later,'' she chuckled in the caption – and viewers certainly couldn't have been more grateful for the useful piece of information.

One bargain-loving fashionista exclaimed: ''this is so helpful, thanks!!''

Someone else agreed, adding: ''girlll this might change the game [sic].''

Want to make the most out of your trip to TK Maxx? Well, one woman recently revealed how she rakes in hundreds each month with her side hustle.

With the cost-of-living crisis soaring, a growing number of people are looking for ways to make some extra cash on the side.

Danielle, better known to her 39.5k fans as Charity Shop Finds on TikTok, is no exception and she's figured out an easy side hustle to rake in more money.

Offering a helping hand to those who may want to consider this, she uploaded a video explaining how she does it.

And turns out, not only is it so easy anyone can do it, all you need is a TK Maxx nearby and an account on eBay.

''It's crazy that you can have a full-time job and still need a side hustle to pay basic bills.

''But that's how I started selling clothing online,'' the UK-based shopper said in the video.

''I picked up these Ganni boots on Friday, they were in their TK Maxx clearance for £29.''

But rather than keeping the on-trend western footwear to herself, Danielle decided to flog them online.

''They were kind of in a used condition so I listed them as used.

''They sold in 48h and I made £41 profit,'' revealed Danielle who had sold them for £70.

''Pretty good little side hustle,'' she chuckled.
