I'm a make-up artist….People say I use far too much foundation, but I don't care

A MAKE-UP artist has gone viral after demonstrating how much foundation she uses to achieve a flawless finish.

Getting ready to meet the award-winning American singer and songwriter Alicia Keys, one beauty lover was determined to look her best – and shared a short make-up tutorial on Instagram.

''Honestly, I am still processing this is happening,'' said Meredith Duxbury, as she was prepping her skin.

The23-year-old rose to fame a few years ago and has now reached a milestone of a whopping million fans on Instagram and close to 15 million followers on TikTok.

After going viral on social media platforms, the New York City-based whizz was even invited to the the glam Met Gala this year.

''I just can't believe it.''

Squeezing a large amount of Tom Ford Illuminating Primer (this retails for £66), Meredith confessed: ''If you were to tell me a year ago that I'm meeting Alicia Keys, I'd say 'No, you're crazy'.''

Once her base as all ready to be worked on, the beauty lover started to apply make-up – and it's safe to say, she certainly did not go shy.

To achieve a red carpet-ready face, Meredith grabbed a bottle of Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter (£36) in a lighter shade and proceeded to use her fingers to evenly spread out the thick layer.

''We're looking a little scary right now,'' she said before using the cult favourite foundation on her heck and chest.

When it comes to make-up, most live by the ''less is better'' mantra – but not Meredith, who then drew a large triangle under her eyes and forehead to give a more lifted look.

Here, the pro used the Elf 16 Hour Camo Concealer, which retails mere a mere £6 at Superdrug.

To finish off her base, Meredith also used a darker shade contour stick, as well as cream blush.

For eyes, she went for a more creative and vibrant look, adding a bright turquoise powder eyeshadow in the inner corner.

In order to match with the low v-neck top she was wearing for the big day, the whizz opted for a light brown lippy.

But although she appeared to be in love with the completed look, not everyone was on the same page, as viewers thought she was wearing far too much make-up.

''Like really bro calm down with the foundation,'' read one of the comments on Instagram, which has been liked by 183 other people.

Someone else agreed, saying she was ''removing the beautiful features of your face only to try to imitate them with lots of products and time''.

Another user couldn't understand: ''You are so beautiful without makeup, why do you use it?''

But despite the criticism, which she receives on her videos on a regular basis, Meredith uploaded another clip, hitting back at trolls and demanding them to simply ''leave''.
