I’m a former Ulta employee and you've been using the Reward system all wrong – it can actually save you tons of money

WE HATE to bring the bad news, but you may be using your Ulta Rewards incorrectly.

A former employee shared the biggest mistakes she saw people make with the store’s Ultamate Rewards program and revealed how to avoid that from happening to you.

The former employee, Rocio Soria, shared her tips in a video posted on her TikTok page, which boasts 1.2 million followers.

Her top tip for those with an Ultamate Rewards account is to stop spending points and let them add up over time.

“[You’ll have] $20 or $30 dollars off before you even know it,” she claimed.

While some may reason that you’re spending the points regardless, so it shouldn’t matter when you do it, Rocio argued that those saved points can be used toward services offered in Ulta stores.

“Your Ulta points can also be used at the Benefit Brow Bar, skin bar, and salon for money off,” she stated.

The Benefit Brow Bar is sponsored by the cosmetics brand Benefit and offers Ulta customers face and eyebrow waxing, eyebrow tinting, and false lash application.

Ulta stores also offer a range of face and hair services, such as facials, makeup application and lessons, and hair cuts and styling.

Rocio also recommended downloading the Ulta application, where you can get three times the points when filling out surveys and five times the points on “prestige items.”

“Those points rack up fast,” she concluded.

The Sun has reached out to Ulta Beauty, Inc., to confirm the perks mentioned for the application.

If you find yourself shopping at Ulta, a hairstylist warned her TikTok followers to stay away from certain products that she says can damage hair.

She pleaded with her followers to avoid any type of box hair dye, and called it “how to ruin your hair 101.”

She also said she thinks Dyson hairdryers are overpriced and encouraged her followers to choose a cheaper option.
