IT'S BAD news if you've still got any of these five looks hiding in your wardrobe – they're only making your look outdated and frumpy.

Fashion whizz Shea Whitney explained exactly why it's time to ditch the cold-shoulder tops and cameo print on YouTube.

According to the fashionista, there are certain items that might've been bang on trend a few years ago but are going to look awful now.

Although wearing what you feel the most confident and comfortable in is the key to looking good, Shea said steering clear of these looks certainly won't hurt either.

Cameo print

It might've been all the range a while a go, but it's on it's way out now, Shea explained.

It's definitely a bold look and will probably be back in style down the line, but as of right now, it's a no-no.

"Especailly the unnatural cameo print tones, like the pink cameo, it's definitely not my favourite," she added.

Mixing patterns

Any kind of item of clothing with a mixed pattern print is going to make you look majorly outdated, the pro said.

"There's just too much going on," Shea explained as she showed an example of a floral print T-shirt with a stripedbottom half.

Stick to one pattern or keep it simple for a more trendy and timeless look, she recomended.

Strappy tops

Simple is better when it comes to strappy tops, especially when there are so many straps that don't even serve a purpose.

"When I see this top it just looks cheap to me," Shea explained.

Even though the style might be unique, it's for all the wrong reasons and you'd be better off in a basic tank top T-shirt, the fashionista said.

Cold-shoulder tops

Another style that was really trendy and then became unstylish in an instant, the cold-shoulder top definitely had it's moment in the spotlight a few years ago.

The problem is no it's so overdone and doesn't look current at all, according to Shea.

You also need to be aware of "cold-shoulder disguise tops" too, which are more subtle, but undoubtedly the same overall.

Shea said: "It's not nearly as bad, but I don't think it's really in either."

Striped cardigans

Controversially, Shea added stripped cardigans to her list of unstylish looks.

"They're not horrible but I do think they scream 2017, they're just not nearly as in as they once were," she said.

Instead, the fashion whizz suggested going for an oversized cardigan in one colour to look more on trend.
