NOW that Dollar Tree has increased its prices from one dollar to $1.25 per item, customers are second-guessing their purchases.

It turns out that not every single item sold on Dollar Tree’s shelves is still worth buying at a higher price point.

YouTuber and bargain shopper Kallie Branciforte posted a video highlighting the best items to continue buying from Dollar Tree – and the items you should probably search for elsewhere.

In terms of party supplies, Kallie doesn’t necessarily think Dollar Tree is the best place to shop for plain color paper plates.

She says: “Walmart has beaten them by offering the same things, sometimes in larger quantities, for 97 cents."

Any paper plates that come with themed designs are still worthwhile at Dollar Tree though, she says.

Gift wrap is another item shoppers can skip out on at Dollar Tree.

“I just don’t think it’s worth it. It’s this weird material, it doesn’t crease well, and you can get way superior ones elsewhere for a very similar price," she explains.

Her suggestion is to check Walmart, Costco, or IKEA for gift wrap instead.

Cleaning supplies aren’t always worth it from Dollar Tree either, in Kallie’s opinion.

“[Their] cleaning supplies already come in much smaller quantities so competing with price for ounce compared to the bulk ones you can get at places like Target or Walmart is just going to be tough.”

Toys from Dollar Tree are another group of items Kallie doesn’t find worthwhile at $1.25 per piece.

Bubbles and hot wheels tracks are the only two items she says she’ll buy from Dollar Tree since her kids enjoy them so much.

From Kallie’s perspective, office supplies such as paper clips and push pins aren’t exactly worth $1.25 per container.

“I don’t really buy a lot of Dollar Tree office stuff because I just don’t find the quality to be that great,” she says.

Some of the other items Kallie talks about include storage containers, food, holiday cards, and home decor.

She suggests avoiding anything low-quality that will likely just make your home feel more cluttered.

Tons of people in Kallie's comment section agree with her opinions.
