YOUR whole life can change in the blink of an eye… and that’s exactly what happened to Alex Hollywell-Rolfe last weekend when she won a £50,000 jackpot. 

The 29-year-old dental receptionist hadn’t had the easiest year up to that point as she had been made redundant twice in just six months. 

But on Bank Holiday Monday, her luck finally seemed to turn around and now she’s able to put a deposit down on her dream home. 

And it’s all thanks to a trip to her local Mecca Bingo, where she went to enjoy a fun night out with her partner and friend. 

The Luton resident had been going there for several years, but this is the first time she’s won big. 

Alex noticed she was getting closer to a full house, and initially thought she was on to win a few hundred pounds.

But, in a twist of events, she called house within 16 numbers and had a jaw-dropping realisation that she’d hit the £50,000 National Bingo Game jackpot instead. 

The life-changing amount of money means Alex can put a deposit down on a home, which is something she “never thought would be possible”. 

“It still hasn’t really sunk in,” she said of the incredible win.

“The numbers kept coming, but I didn’t really realise what I had won.

“When I called bingo, I genuinely thought I had won the house prize of a few hundred pounds until the entire venue gasped. 

“I wasn’t sure what had happened until a lady on the table beside me said, ‘You’ve just won 50 grand’”. 

Alex continued: “My partner and friend started jumping up and down and celebrating, but I just sat there shaking.”

“It truly is a life changing thing for us and now we’ll be able to put a deposit down on a house, which has always been our dream,” she said.

Not only has Alex won £50,000 and managed to put a deposit down on a house, but she’s also been invited back to the Luton branch for a winner’s party.
