I turned the outside of my home into a real life gingerbread house for Christmas – I hope my landlord doesn't drive past | The Sun


NOW HALLOWEEN and Bonfire Night are well and truly out of the way, people are planning their Christmas decorations.

But one woman has taken it a step further by completely transforming the outside of her home into a gingerbread house.

Carmen Grace, from the UK, decided to go all out on creativity this year with her Christmas decorations.

Ditching the bog standard lights for giant celebrations chocolate, gingerbread men, candy canes, and biscuit window frames.

The Etsy shop owner specialises in making props and decided to go all out this year for Christmas to help promote her business.

Taking to TikTok, Carmen showed off her house and revealed she hasn't yet told her landlord about the decorations.

She wrote: "Yes my house is rented! And no my landlord doesn't know yet…"

Not a single detail has been missed on the house, Carmen even covered the plain brickwork with sheets of gingerbread bricks stuck together with dripping icing sugar.

Candy canes, gumdrops, giant lollipops, and jelly beans decorate the exterior of the house as well as candy floss roofing gives it a finishing touch.

She revealed that the props used on the outside of the house were made using wood and then varnished to keep them safe from the rain.

Carmen's videos on her Christmas decorations have since gone viral with almost one million views.

People were quick to take to the comments section to share their thoughts on the project.

While many could appreciate the effort she's taken to make her house a Christmas spectacle others claimed it was too early.
