A HOMEOWNER has divided opinion after showing off the DIY privacy wall she made to stop her garden from being overlooked.

Savvy Shavonne decided to get creative and build a stylish privacy wall to replace the gaping fence in her garden.

In the clip, which was posted to TikTok (@onceuponabungalow), she explains: "We dug the posts and then I added some 16ft decking boards to the posts.

"Then we got this beautiful black privacy screens and we got busy making frames for them using 45 degree corners, and etching at the centre using a table saw."

She continues: "We then used scrap pieces of wood to make these frames about 4 inches out of the privacy wall."

The savvy homeowner says she then made a planter box to house decorations in the winter and some plants in the summer, before adding some exterior lighting.

"We're not experts wood workers at all but I think this shows you can use some very simple techniques to create something very beautiful."she concludes.

The video quickly went viral, garnering a whopping 2 million views and several comments from social media users – with very split opinions.

Many people expressed the same concern for the neighbour and what it looks like from their garden.
