THE pet names you call your partner reveal more about you than you think.

Your public displays of affection through nicknames could say something about your relationship, according to VICE UK.

In a 2017 article, the publication gave meaning to pet names like babe, soulmate, squeeze, and hubby,

First, VICE joked that couples that call each other babe are most likely fighting, referencing the fact that many couples in movies and television use the nickname pleadingly in an argument.

If you refer to someone as bae, you're probably not in a defined relationship with them.

The publication figures that couples that call each other their best friends are lucky to be in a happy relationship.
