Home cook reveals how to make two-ingredient chocolate orange cake using a can of Fanta & it looks seriously tasty02/06/2021
A MUM has revealed her recipe for a tasty chocolate orange cake that can be made in minutes and you’ll only need two ingredients.
Taking to the Facebook group Slow Cooking UK the home cook shared her very simple method.
The recipe calls for just two ingredients, a can of Fanta as well as a bag of chocolate sponge cake mix.
Best of all you can make the cake in the slow cooker, meaning you can leave it do it’s thing while you crack on with the homeschooling.
Simply combine 300ml of Fanta (or any other orangeade) with the cake mix until smooth.
Then line your slow cooker with baking parchment before adding the mixture and cooking on high for one and a half to two hours with a tea towel under the lid.
The mum says you should avoid lifting the lid on your cake where possible to keep the heat in.
And according to the cook the recipe was a huge success.
Sharing a snap of the scrummy looking pud, she wrote: “Thought I'd give the 2 ingredient chocolate orange cake a go, well get my 11 year old experimenting for me 🤣
“It turned out lovely 😋 really soft and fluffy, it really tastes like chocolate orange and was delicious served warm with custard 😋”
Fellow group members were eager to try the recipe out themselves.
Commenting on the post, one wrote: “That looks delicious 😋will definitely give this a try this week, off shopping in morning for supplies.”
“Definitely need to give this a go” wrote another, while a third added, “Gotta try this one 😍”
