  • QUEEN CLUELESS ABOUT NETFLIX DEAL

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry allegedly didn’t tell the Queen about their big Netflix deal before announcing it, a source has claimed.

Her Majesty, 94, was told the news by her aides, according to a source.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who have never produced a TV show, will make documentaries, films, scripted and kids’ programmes in the new partnership.

The source added: “Her Majesty is all too aware of the pitfalls of when senior royals embark on lucrative projects – Prince Edwards’ production flop and some of the deals Sarah Ferguson has signed over the years to name a few.

“Her view is simple, the Royals are not for sale and danger surrounds high profile roles outside of the institution itself.”

  • ‘LOOKING FOR ATTENTION’

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been accused of “looking for attention all the time” by a PR guru.

Talking about the couple’s big Netflix deal, public relations expert Mark Borowski told the MailOnline: “This is a naïve double-act, who are living on hype.”

Borowski said that hit shows “are very hard to come by”.

He asked: “How many Downton Abbeys, The Crowns and Ordinary Peoples are there?

“They are from British producers who will tell you that you have got to have a few flops to make before you get a hit.”

  • ROYAL THANKS

Dutiful Prince William today honoured emergency 999 workers in an online ceremony – as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle landed a multi-million-pound Netflix deal.

The future king praised emergency services for their “hard work, determination and courage” amid the coronavirus crisis.

In a humble speech, the 38-year-old added: “They showcase the very best that our country has to offer, and this is never more apparent than at times like these.”

William's video message was played as part of the annual Emergency Services Festival of Thanksgiving, held to commemorate the thousands of emergency responders who have died in the line of duty.

This year, more than 300 NHS and other emergency workers have died after contracting Covid-19 on the job.

  • FAB FOUR RIFT

Prince Harry spent little time with his youngest nephew Louis after invitations from Kate Middleton and Prince William 'dried up', a new book says.

Reports of Harry's diminishing contact with his brother's son come amid claims of a rift between the so-called 'Fab Four'.

Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, the authors of bombshell book Finding Freedom wrote: “The brothers went from always making time for each other to barely spending any time together.

“Harry had always loved popping across the grounds of the palace to see Charlotte and George, bringing them gifts that including an electronic SUV for his nephew and a tricycle for Charlotte.

“But those visits came to a halt by that summer of 2017.

“In fact, Harry spent less time with Prince Louis than the others because of the growing tension between him and his brother after the baby's birth.”

In July, The Sun reported that the property was on the market for under £20m following a huge £11m price slash.

Just a year ago, the mansion was on the market for £31.5m.

Now, the property is available through an auction set to be held from October 29-31, with the asking price officially set at £30,139,600, according to a Rightmove listing.

  • ROYAL TREATMENT

Meghan Markle’s high profile security on the set of Suits was actually for actor Gabriel Macht to protect him from smitten female fans, her co-star Usman Ally has claimed.

The Duchess of Sussex, 38, was reportedly given round-the-clock bodyguards while filming the hit TV show after her engagement with Prince Harry was made official.

But her co-star and award-winning actor Usman Ally, who plays Andrew Malik, denied the claims and said the top security was actually put in place for heartthrob Gabriel Macht.

He said that Gabriel – famous for his lead role as slick lawyer Harvey Specter – was such a hit with the ladies that he needed protection on set.

Speaking on his podcast “Is This Thing On” about his time on Suits, Usman said: “There was so much security. Here’s the funny thing.

“I used to think the security on the set was for Meghan because she was marrying a prince but it turns out the security was for Gabriel because there’s so many women who would rush him.”

  • DRIVE-IN CINEMA AT SANDRINGHAM

The Queen is the latest royal to cash in on a movie deal after opening Sandringham as a drive-in cinema.

Her Majesty's vast Sandringham estate will host socially-distanced Covid-safe open air movie nights, with tickets costing $43.13 per car.

Sandringham movie nights kick off on September 25th with WWI drama 1917 followed by Elton John biopic Rocketman.

Other drive-in movies this month include Toy Story, The Greatest Showman, Moana, Grease and A Star Is Born.

The Royal Family has lost an estimated $23million this summer from shutting tourist sites because of the coronavirus pandemic.

  • 'NO CHANCE' OF SWAYING HARRY FROM NETFLIX DEAL

A source has told The Sun that “knowing her grandson Harry as she does, the Queen will know there would have been little chance of talking Harry and Meghan out of” the couple's Netflix deal.

While the couple may have not informed the Queen about the lucrative deal, it has been reported that the Netflix agreement will be “examined” by the Palace over its commercial links.

The couple, who quit royal duties in March, said they wanted their “impactful” output to “unlock action” and “give hope” via their major Hollywood move.

  • NETFLIX AND SPILL

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry allegedly didn’t tell the Queen about their big Netflix deal before announcing it, a source has claimed.

It's been revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could rake in millions of pounds after signing a mega-bucks deal with the streaming platform.

A source told Fabulous that “Harry did not inform the Queen about the Netflix deal” and Her Majesty, 94, was told the news by her aides.

The source added: “Her Majesty is all too aware of the pitfalls of when senior royals embark on lucrative projects – Prince Edwards’ production flop and some of the deals Sarah Ferguson has signed over the years to name a few.

“Her view is simple; the Royals are not for sale and danger surrounds high profile roles outside of the institution itself.”

  • A QUIET LIFE?

Royal fans have mocked Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Netflix deal as it was announced just six months after they split from the Firm for a life away from the limelight.

One joked sarcastically on Twitter: “Good to see Meghan is continuing to enjoy the quiet life away from the royal family.”

Another added: “Oh but they just want a quiet life out of the public eye.”

A third unimpressed person wrote: “Meghan and Harry are leaving the limelight. They have now moved to LA for the quiet life.

“In keeping with this they will be making several documentaries and programmes featuring themselves for Netflix.”

  • ‘BIG RISK WITH NETFLIX DEAL’

Netflix is likely to want the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to “drum up huge publicity” for their exclusive multi-year production, warns royal writer Daniela Elser.

Commenting via News.com.au, Elser says it’s likely the streaming giant will want them “to tout the company to the press, which could stand in particularly awkward opposition to their strident attempts to dramatically rewrite their rules of engagement with the media”.

She adds: “There are other dark clouds on the horizon for Harry and Meghan here too.

“He is a veteran and Prince of the realm; she was on a cable TV show and had a moderately successful blog.

“They might be two of the most famous people in the world but the Sussexes have absolutely no track record or experience behind the camera.”

  • LITTLE BLACK BOOK

Netflix wants Meghan Markle and Prince Harry for their royal and celeb-packed contact book, it has been claimed today.

A source told the Telegraph: “What Netflix is keen on in any deal with an outsider is access.

“The company can send over a truck filled with cash to sign the right people, so Netflix has no problem getting directors, scriptwriters, producers and actors.

“What they’ll want is the couple’s contacts book.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who are now living in the US after quitting the Royal Family, have a number of high-flying celeb contacts.

  • BETRAYAL OF DIANA

Netflix is to screen a tacky musical about Princess Diana — after signing up her son Harry and his wife Meghan in a multi-million pound deal.

In Diana: A New Musical, the Queen calls the tragic princess a “tart”, while another scene sees Diana in bed with James Hewitt.

The musical also has the Queen saying to Diana: “In the old days we would have chopped off your head.”

But her former bodyguard Ken Wharfe, 72, has urged Harry to get the musical axed.

He said: “If the critics are to be believed, this musical story is not a joyous journey of love with a happy ending but an episodic account of untruths, scandal and sex.”

  • HARRY AND MEGHAN ‘MUST SUCCEED’

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are in a “money-raising exercise” with Netflix, amid huge “pressure to deliver”, a PR expert says.

Mark Borowski advised the pair to “manage expectations” because if they “lose they have got a lot of egg on their faces”, reports the MailOnline.

Responding to this week’s news that the pair are teaming up with Netflix in a major Hollywood move, the PR guru said: “It all sounds great, but what have you got; what names are attracted, what is the first project?

“It's like someone in the pub saying 'I am going to start making productions for Netflix'.

“This is incredibly dangerous and overhyped – they have got no chance to fail, they have got to succeed.”

  • 'NOT BOTHERED'

Most Brits couldn’t care less about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s mega-Netflix deal.

And, the majority admit they have “no interest at all” in watching Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Netflix shows.

The US-based couple revealed this week they had signed a production deal with the popular streaming service.

They plan to make documentaries, films, scripted and kids’ programmes and rake in almost £200million once bonuses are factored in.

But a YouGov survey of 2,713 Brits revealed 20 per cent were “not very interested,” in the new venture and only nine per cent said they were “fairly interested”.

The findings also reported that 64 per cent said they were not interested at all in the royals' latest project, while just three per cent were “very interested”.

  • ROYAL OFFICIALS TO PROBE NETFLIX DEAL

Netflix’s lucrative multi-year production deal with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be probed by royal officials, reports the Mirror.

A source said that as part of the Megxit arrangement, the royals had agreed that any profit-making plans would be “subject to discussion”.

So palace officials will “examine the Netflix deal”.

The source told the Mirror: “Harry and Meghan did leave as working members of the family with everyone's best wishes and it is sincerely hoped they find the happiness that appeared to be lacking in their lives.

“However, it goes without saying any deals they are making will be scrutinised by the royal household.

“Under the terms of their deal to forgo their royal duties, they agreed any commercial deals would be subject to discussion.”

  • SPORT ‘BRINGS YOU BACK FROM DARKEST PLACES’

Prince Harry says sport can “bring you back from the darkest places” as he praised the Paralympics in a new Netflix documentary.

The Duke of Sussex, 35, has said he hopes the stories of Paralympians detailed in 'Rising Phoenix' help to get rid of “stereotyping and preconceptions”.

The one hour 46 minute show has elite athletes and insiders reflecting on the Paralympic Games and examining how they impact a global understanding of disability, diversity and excellence, says Netflix.

Prince Harry says: “There isn't anything else in the world that can bring you back from the darkest places than sport.”

“Yes, lives are being changed on the track,” he adds.

“But lives are also being changed on the stands.”

  • 'DUCHESS MEGHAN’

Meghan Markle has praised Prince Harry for setting a “beautiful example” for son Archie.

In a glowing piece on the former actor, Good Morning America writes that “Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry are raising 15-month-old son Archie to be a feminist.”

While speaking with Gloria Steinem about voting, Meghan recalled Harry telling the American feminist: “You know that I’m a feminist too, right Gloria?

“It’s really important to me that you know that.”

Meghan added: “I look at our son and what a beautiful example that he gets to grow up with a father who is so comfortable owning that as part of his own self-identification.

“There’s no shame in being someone who advocates for fundamental human rights for everyone, which of course includes women.”

  • KEEPING UP WITH THE SUSSEXES’

Piers Morgan has scoffed at Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's multi-million pound Netflix deal in a scathing takedown.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have announced their deal with the popular streaming service.

In a string of cheeky show suggestions, Morgan proposed “Keeping Up with the Sussexes”, suggesting a “Kardashian-style 24/7 fly-on-the-wall reality show”.

The couple currently have not released details of their production company but Morgan suggested “Megxit Productions” as one naming option.

In his scathing Daily Mail column, Morgan also pitched a show “Brother Grimm.

The Good Morning Britain presenter explained it could be “an animated film “depicting a fierce sibling rivalry” between an “evil older brother” and a “saintly, much-misunderstood sensitive caring hero named Harry who never does anything wrong.”

  • 'PAY UP NOW'

HARRY and Meghan have been urged to immediately pay back the millions of pounds owed to the taxpayer for renovations on their Windsor home.

It comes as the couple scooped a £112million deal with streaming service Netflix.

They owe the funds for extensive renovations on Frogmore Cottage which they abandoned to live in £14.7million California mansion.

After Megxit Harry, 35, and Meghan, 39, pledged to pay back £18,000 a month which will take them 11 years to clear.

Former Lib Dem MP Norman Baker said the rich couple should also pay for security of Frogmore and their own travel costs – which are currently covered by due to their HRH status.

He said: “They should pay the taxpayer back immediately for Frogmore renovations rather than wait 11 years.”

  • HARRY BACKS NEW NETFLIX DOC

Prince Harry said he hopes the stories of Paralympians detailed in new Netflix documentary Rising Phoenix help to get rid of “stereotyping and preconceptions”.

The film details the history of the Paralympic Games and features interviews with athletes including GB star Jonnie Peacock, as well as Harry, who founded the Invictus Games for injured servicemen and women.

He said: ” My biggest hope is that people will watch this film and go 'No mater how hard my life is, no matter how hard a day or a week can be, this what I aspire to, not just for me but for my family and all the loved ones around me'.

“It is that element that I think will end up changing the world, so well done and thank you very much.”

It comes after on Wednesday it was announced that Harry and his wife, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, have signed a major deal with the streaming service to make films and series.

The couple will be producing a range of “content that informs but also gives hope” for Netflix, from documentaries and scripted series, to features and children's programming, it was confirmed.

  • HER MAJ ESTATE A DRIVE-IN CINEMA

The Queen is the latest royal to get a screen deal – opening Sandringham as a drive-in cinema.

But at £32 a car, it will earn her slightly less than Harry and Meghan's Netflix deal.

The Covid-safe movie nights start on September 25 with war drama 1917 followed by Elton John biopic Rocketman.

An extra £7.50 will get film-lovers a deckchair, table and popcorn.

Sales will go straight into royal coffers as the Norfolk estate is privately owned by the Queen.

The royals have lost an estimated £17.5m this summer after closing sites amid the pandemic.

Meghan is known to be talented in the kitchen and regularly posted about her culinary delights on her now-deleted lifestyle site, The Tig.

And it turns out she is using this skill to her advantage with the royal youngsters.
