It’s no secret by now that Hannah Brown has confidence like no other. After all, she is Hannah Beast. From her time on Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor to The Bachelorette, the season 15 lead has always been one to keep it real about everything and anything. (Have you seen her shut down Luke P. most recently?!)

But behind that glamour, spunk and confidence she exudes so well, Hannah is still just like any girl and suffers from skin woes. She even opened up to Women’s Health about it.

Hannah started to get breakouts, following her Miss Alabama USA title win in November 2017. “I just felt so insecure taking a ton of pictures and being around all these beautiful girls with clear skin,” the 24-year-old said.

After multiple trial and error, Hannah finally turned to Accutane, just before she auditioned for The Bachelor. Even behind the cameras, she kept it real: “I told casting, ‘You might not want me on your show because I have acne. I’m on Accutane, and my skin might get worse before it gets better,’” she recalled.

But when she made the cut, “I didn’t want to do the show because of my acne,” Hannah admitted.

Being on the ABC hit, while suffering from bumps and cysts, wasn’t easy for the Alabama native. When the cameras weren’t on her, she never wore makeup. But when she “bared it all on national TV,” she opted for her favorite makeup products: Nars Natural Radiant Longer Foundation and Charlotte Tilbury’s Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder. She said: “That was my lifesaver.”

And while a pimple does still pop up for her here and there, Hannah uses Kate Somerville’s EradiKate Acne Treatment to clear up any blemish and to prevent future breakouts.

“During both The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, I was 100 percent myself, even when I did have acne. That’s something I’m proud of,” she added. “I wasn’t going to let my skin get in the way of the things that I wanted to do. But it did feel really great to be able to take off the mask.”
