AS THE bride's special day, wedding guests usually go to great lengths not to out-shine her.

But one woman has been branded a "clown" for throwing caution to the wind by wearing a white lace dress – which featured a very bridal-looking train – to her pal's big day.

In a post shared on a wedding shaming Facebook group, the newlyweds can be seen posing for the camera at a rural venue with four friends.

But while the bride poses in the middle of the picture next to her new husband – she could easily have been mistaken for her pal on the right of the shot.

The wedding guest has turned up in a white lace off-shoulder gown with a train.

"I want to shame my brother's ex," the author of the post wrote.

The bride is in the middle in a simple and beautiful wedding dress and my brother's ex is the clown on the right in a lacey, long white dress.

"The bride is in the middle in a simple and beautiful wedding dress and my brother's ex is the clown on the right in a lacey, long white dress.

"Who wears that to a wedding?!"

The person then added: "The clown's dress looked horrible cheap in real life. I hated it."

They also revealed that their brother – the woman's then-boyfriend – was the person in the chequered shirt, which was "almost as bad".

The wedding guest's get-up – which is arguably more dressy than the bride's – left members in shock.

One person wrote: "Thank goodness she's on the end and you can crop her tacky a** out."

Another commented: "Wow. literally a swimsuit would have been more appropriate. Shame on her."

A third shared: "That's a legitimate wedding dress! What the hell?"

And a fourth added: "She's wearing a wedding dress to a wedding?"

Wedding guest dress code etiquette…

  • Don't wear white
  • Don't wear anything too revealing
  • Don't wear anything too casual
  • Don't wear excessive sequins
  • Do wear solid colours
  • Do wear simple patterns

Others noted that not only was the dress white, but it had a train.

"Omg. That s**t has a train," one pointed out.

"She must really f*****g hate the bride because she totally upstaged her…that get-up even has a train on it," another commented.

Yesterday, we told you how a bride has punched her kilt-wearing husband after he sits on her knee during the reception and left a poo stain on her dress.

We also revealed how a bride wore her £300 wedding dress to do daily chores because she wanted to "get her money's worth".

And wedding shamers have slammed a couple who tied the knot wearing swimwear and had a penis on their cake.
