Gardening fans give their cleaning counterparts top tip on how to make grubby ovens look brand new – and it’s free | The Sun
06/01/2023CLEANING an oven is never a task people want to get done. And it’s for good reason, too.
Despite soaking, scrubbing and wiping away the grime left behind, it never seems to sparkle the way you want it to.
And this is exactly how one woman felt when it came to her oven racks.
While she admitted that she’s set to replace the entire unit at some point in the future, she also wanted to clean the existing oven to use until then.
Though she tried soaking it in hot water with washing up liquid mixed in, she found the marks simply wouldn’t come off properly.
In a bid to get some expert advice from those who have managed to complete the task she undertook, she posted in the Facebook group ‘Hinch Army Cleaning Tips’.

“How do I get these marks off the rack from oven?” she wrote, adding: “Moved house and the oven wasn’t really taken care of just want it clean so I can use till I get new oven”.
Alongside this, she posted a photo of the rack, half submerged in water in a sink with pieces of grime all over it.
Luckily, people were quick to respond with their top tips on how to get it looking brand new.
And the best one was, by far, those who suggested to leave the racks in the garden overnight.
