Dr Pimple Popper removes ‘heavyweight’ blackhead from man’s ear – joking ‘he’s lost weight’

MOST people have had a blackhead or two before, whether it's on your nose or your face.

But one man got a surprise when Dr Pimple Popper extracted a "heavyweight" blackhead from his ear.

The older man had presented at Dr Pimple Popper, aka, Dr Sandra Lee's clinic with a little bump on his ear.

He said he hadn't experienced acne since he was a teenager so had wanted to come in and get the bump checked out.

In the treatment room Dr Lee confirmed to the man that he did have a blackhead, after he said he was unsure what it was.

Dr Lee wasted no time is grabbing a comedone extractor to clear the pore and gently pushed down on the lump.

A bulbous amount of puss then oozed out, and for fans of the extraction, thepimple popping Queen even slowed the video down.

After extracting the spot she said: "I think you lost a little weight there. But now you look so pretty, this is your good side now again."

Posting the video on Instagram she added: "Had the honor of extracting my patients first blackhead and I think he lost some weight after this one."

Over 600,000 people have viewed Dr Lee's video with hundreds of her followers thanking her for posting.

One user commented: "I felt that relief, while another said the process of pimple popping was like "giving birth".

Dr Firas Al-Niaimi, expert dermatologist at sk:n explained that acne can occur on various parts of the body including the back, chest and face. It also appears in numerous different forms.

He said: "Blackheads are small black or yellow bumps that develop on the surface of the skin.

"Contrary to what many people think, these aren’t filled with dirt, but are black because the inner lining of the hair follicle has produced this colour."

He explained that these are different to white heads that can have a similar appearance to blackheads but instead may be firmer and will not empty if squeezed.

In order to get rid of blackheads, one expert at KLEAN said you should look for washes that include Salicylic acid which helps unclog pores and dissolve blackheads.
