Dad creates a toy car track and town – including a football pitch – for his son using nothing but £1 tape

FORGET having to fork out for an expensive toy car track for your kids, as a dad has shown how he made one using £1 tape. 

The savvy parent showed how the DIY track kept his kid occupied for hours during lockdown.

Taking to the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group, he said: “Thanks to the person who posted this idea a few weeks ago. £1 spent … hours of fun.”

The creative track featured a car park for his son’s toy cars, a roundabout and a football pitch, all made out of tape stuck on the lounge wooden floor. 

People were highly impressed at his purse-friendly idea. 

One person wrote: “I made this for my twins, they spend a day playing in their room. Great idea if you want some quiet time.”

Another added: “kids would love this idea.”

Some parents expressed concerns that the tape wouldn’t come off after being stuck to the floor. 

However, the dad confirmed in the comments that it had come up “easy enough.”
