Carpet Company Crafts Compelling Collaborative Nike SB Dunk High

Nike SB has tapped a wide swath of collaborative partners for new takes on the SB Dunk Low and SB Dunk High over the course of the year, and the latest brand to receive the call from Beaverton is Baltimore’s Carpet Company. Known for rich prints and bold graphics, Carpet has brought both to its SB Dunk High collaboration — making for an undeniably compelling style.

Atop a crisp white leather base sits the shoe’s signature detail: namely a diverse assemblage of bold, swirling blue patterns that cover collar flaps, heel overlays, eyestays and mudguards alike. A star-styled gray “C” logo is embroidered on the lateral heel, and Swooshes are done up in unembellished blue suede. On another interesting note, there’s also a shaggy gray suede midfoot overlay sitting directly above the midsole — a piece that’s not present on most SB Dunks. Collar liners and insoles get in on the fun too, adding everything from Arabic text to a hand-drawn graphic of a lamb. Co-branded tongue badges, sail midsoles and gum outsoles with a stamped Carpet graphic round off the look.

An official release date for the Carpet Company x Nike SB Dunk High has yet to be announced, but early reports place it sometime in 2021.
