Beyonce called Meghan Markle ‘my princess’ on The Lion King red carpet, according to eagle-eyed fans – The Sun

07/15/2019

ROYAL fans have gone into meltdown after they were convinced that Beyonce referred to Meghan Markle as a “princess” at last night’s Lion King premiere.

Eagle-eyed watchers claim that the pop sensation said “my princess” as she embraced the Duchess of Sussex during the meet and greet at the event in London’s Leicester Square.

The two women then continued to chat about their children with the Destiny’s Child singer telling Meghan “the baby is beautiful.”

But it was Beyonce’s royal nickname that really drove fans wild, taking to Twitter to gush over the exchange.

One wrote: “Beyonce meeting Meghan Markle and calling her ‘My Princess’ gave me chills.”

Another excitable fan added: “’MY PRINCESS’……. from Beyonce’s mouth I CAN NOT BREATH.”

“This was so beautiful & uplifting. My mood just went up tenfold” tweeted a third.

Joined by Prince Harry, Meghan warmly greeted Beyonce and Jay-Z before chatting with Elton John, who briefly whispered in Meghan's ear.

Beyonce gushed over baby Archie as the two power couples met for the first time on Sunday.

The Drunk In Love singer told Meghan: "We love you guys. Your baby is so beautiful."

But is Meghan a princess?

When Meghan married Harry they became the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

While some may have expected her to become Princess Meghan, there's a reason why we don't call her this.

When she became a mum to baby Archie, the former TV star listed her job as "Princess of the United Kingdom".

Meghan's occupation is Princess because she is married to a Prince, making her Princess Henry of Wales, but her title is actually Duchess of Sussex.

The same thing is listed as Kate Middleton's job on the birth certificates of her three children but she doesn't use it either, going by the Duchess of Cambridge instead.

The duties that come with being a Princess include performing engagements on behalf of the Queen.

So when you see Kate or Meghan visiting a charity or opening a new school building they're on official princess business.

Princess Charlotte and Anne, Princess Royal, can use the title because they have royal blood, while the two Duchesses joined the royal family by marriage.

Meghan and Harry reportedly talked about parenthood with the pair, who have three children of their own – two-year-old twins Rumi and Sir Carter, and seven-year-old Blue Ivy.

Jay-Z gave the new parents the advice of "always find time for yourself".

The new mum wore a Jason Wu Mesh Panel Flared Dress with the price tag of £3,454.

She carried a small black Gucci clutch bag that cost £1,680.

The royal's outfit was polished off with a pair of Aquazurra Portrait Of Lady Sling pumps worth £640.

Harry and Meghan met the cast and crew before watching the film as they attended to show their support in aid of conservation work through The Royal Foundation.

Beyonce & Jay Z's previous tribute to Meghan

BEYONCE and Jay-Z sent Brit 2019 viewers wild as they accepted their award in front of a portrait of Meghan Markle mocked up as the Queen.

The super couple were presented with the Best International Group award at the Brits 2019, and the pregnant Duchess featured heavily.

And viewers at home couldn't get enough, taking to Twitter to make their feelings known.

One wrote: "Beyonce & Jay-Z just won at the #BRITS2019".

Another said: "Please. PLEASE tell me I’m not the only one dying at Beyonce & Jay Z stood there with a painting of Megan Markle depicted as a queen."

A third wrote: "Beyonce and Jay-Z just killed it with this Meghan Markle portrait during their BRITS2019."
