ROYAL photographer Arthur Edwards has said it's a "tragedy" Prince Harry and William "fell out over Meghan Markle" as they always worked together "wonderfully".

Appearing on This Morning, The Sun's legendary royal photographer – who has been taking photos of the family since 1977 – said Prince Harry and Prince William had a "very close" relationship.

"Since they were born I watched them grow up together and they were very close," he said. "The tragedy is they are no longer talking to each other and it must be over Meghan.

"Because before that Harry, Catherine and William were doing wonderful things together, the mental health charity, they were inspired."

In 2017, Prince Harry, Prince William and Kate Middleton founded the mental health Heads Together campaign as part of their Royal Foundation work – which Prince Harry has now split from.

Arthur also revealed that the Duke of Sussex previously "went out of his way" to help him get the best pictures and would even make cups of tea for the press during tours.

"He was the most popular member of the royal family and he was so exciting to work with," Arthur said. "He was an exciting young man and supporting his brother; we thought he would do it for the rest of his life, I can't believe this has happened."

What's more, the expert urged Prince Harry – who has recently moved to a £11m Santa Barbara mansion with Meghan and one-year-old Archie – return to the UK to support his brother.

He continued: "This is a great country and the Queen needs your support Harry, William can't do it all, Kate can't do it all, Harry is badly needed.

"The royals are important to us all and they can't do it alone. I hope in March – he has until March to re-think it – he comes back."

Last month, the bombshell biography Finding Freedom claimed the brothers fell out after Prince William warned Harry not to rush his relationship with "this girl" Meghan.

Earlier today, The Sun exclusively revealed that the brothers "barely speak and cut contact for two months after Harry and Meghan revealed their Megxit plans online".

In a new interview to be broadcast around the world today on True Royalty TV, Omid Scobie – the author of bombshell biography Finding Freedom – claimed the brothers had not spoken since "around the time of the Sandringham summit."

Omid claimed: “[William is] not just the brother, he’s also future king and he felt that damaged the reputation of the family.

"That it put family business out into the public domain when it should’ve been discussed privately and there was a lot of hurt there that continues to this day.”
