These Throwback Photos of Robin Williams & His Daughter Are Too Sweet

We’re all handling the COVID-19 pandemic differently. While many of us are feeling busier and more stressed-out than ever, others (celebrities) have been enjoying the chance to reset and make the most of their time at home. Robin Williams’s daughter Zelda decided to spring clean her home, and when she stumbled upon sweet photos of her late dad, she was kind enough to share them with the rest of us. Because seriously, who doesn’t need a smile right now?

“Isolation spring deep cleaning is turning up some fun old gems,” Zelda wrote on Twitter, sharing a photo of an old photo booth strip. The photos show the 30-year-old actress with her dad years ago, striking a series of goofy poses for the camera: wide eyes, roaring like lions, baring their teeth, and covering their eyes.

Robin Williams passed away in 2014, and remains a defining voice of the comedy landscape. Now more than ever, we’re missing his gentle sincerity and brilliant sense of humor — and it’s so sweet to see that he was just as goofy at home with his daughter as he was entertaining millions of fans.

We’re grateful to Zelda for sharing these photos with the rest of us, and she’s not alone among celebs in offering distractions during this time. John Legend, Pink, and more are all streaming concerts we can watch while we’re stuck inside. Who says quarantine can’t be entertaining?
