One Royal Expert Claims a Prince William & Prince Harry Reconciliation Is ‘Not Going To Happen Anytime Soon’

The rift between Prince William and Prince Harry has been growing for quite a few years. The Prince of Wales and Duke of Sussex’s frosty relationship hasn’t shown any signs of positive change, which has caused a number of longtime royal family fans to wonder when or if the two brothers will ever warm up to each other again. Now, there’s some new insight about whether a reconciliation between the two is on the horizon, and it’s not looking very likely.

“My royal sources say that any chance of a reconciliation really isn’t ruled out, but it’s certainly not going to happen anytime soon,” William & Harry author and royal expert Katie Nicholl recently told ET Online. Nicholl said that William is “still incredibly upset” by Harry’s memoir Spare, and the way the book “cast William in a pretty bad light.” Since the book’s January release, William and Harry’s relationship has basically been at a standstill.

“They don’t talk,” Nicholl said of Prince William and Prince Harry. “There hasn’t been any contact between them for some time now, is my understanding.” At the moment, William and his wife, Kate Middleton, are conducting a variety of duties as the Prince and Princess of Wales. Harry, meanwhile, is currently in Düsseldorf, Germany, for the 2023 Invictus Games. His wife, Meghan Markle, will join him in the days ahead.

Over the course of the last several months, there have been plenty of opportunities for Harry and William to reconnect. But the coronation of King Charles III, Harry’s return to the United Kingdom for the lawsuit against Mirror Group Newspapers, and the recent anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s passing have all come and gone. At the moment, William and Harry seem focused on their respective families and pursuits. A reconciliation will have to wait.
