Mila Kunis & Ashton Kutcher Had the Best Response to Those Breakup Rumors

When it comes to salacious rumors, some celebrities handle them better than others. Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis filmed their breakup response, and the video is truly hilarious. The couple addressed a tabloid report, which claimed they were splitting. In the end, the couple stayed true to themselves and made light of a false claim.

Kutcher and Kunis have quite the history together, which made their eventual marriage in 2015 a love story well worth retelling. The pair starred on the late 90s/early 2000s TV series That ’70s Show where they played Michael Keslo and Jackie Burkhart, respectively. Kutcher famously went on to marry actress Demi Moore while Kunis had a longtime relationship with actor Macaulay Culkin. Following the end of those relationships, Kutcher and Kunis became much closer and began dating. The couple share two children together, 4-year-old daughter Wyatt and 2-year-old son Dimitri.

The couple took to Instagram on Wednesday to address — with absolute wry and sarcastic humor — the rumors of their split. Kutcher and Kunis appear to be in their car, with Kunis holding her phone with an image of the front cover of the tabloid displayed. “Babe, what’s happening? What’s going on?” Kutcher begins the video asking his wife with a mocking tone.

“It’s over between us,” replies Kunis, with such a lackadaisical repose you can’t help but giggle just a bit. The actress then flashes the headline, saying, “It’s over!” From there, it’s feigned concern delving into the absurd details of the tabloid report. “It’s over between us? Oh my god, what are we going to do?” Kutcher asks.

Kunis then begins reading some of the claims from the headline, which include, “I felt suffocated… also, I took the kids.. .and you had a very dark secret exposed.” “Oh my gosh, what was the dark secret?” Kutcher added, “It must have been really dark.” Some of the couples’ famous friends even got in on the action. Dax Shepard, Kutcher’s costar from the Netflix series The Ranch, commented, “I was gonna take a run at MK!!! I want a refund!” Shepard, too, has endured his fair share of false claims that he and his wife, Kristen Bell, were splitting.

The post was all in good fun, and it’s great to see celebrity couples react to such claims with a bit of humor. Kutcher and Kunis are still going strong, and fans got a dose of their comedy chops, totally unplanned.
