Michelle Dockery marries Phoebe Waller-Bridge's brother in star-studded ceremony

Michelle Dockery is a married woman after tying the knot with Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s brother Jasper in a London ceremony.

The Downton Abbey actress, 41, wed the Fleabag creator’s younger sibling, 35, surrounded by co-stars at St Nicholas’ church in Chiswick.

It comes after the pair got engaged in 2022 after getting together in 2019.

The TV star – who played Lady Mary Crawley in the award-winning period drama – met the creative director through mutual friends.

Michelle and Jasper wed in a 45-minute ceremony at midday on Saturday (September 23), with the likes of Lily James, Laura Carmichael, and Joanne Froggatt in attendance.

It truly was a star-studded affair, with other guests including Hugh Bonneville, Lesley Manville, and Happy Valley star James Norton.

Former talent agent Jasper was supported by sister Phoebe, 38, and her partner Martin McDonagh on their special day, with the Killing Eve writer looking radiant in a three-piece coral suit.

The bride also looked stunning in a flowing white satin gown and could not wipe the smile off her face, pictures show.

Leaving the church, Michelle carried a gorgeous bouquet of vibrant flowers as she beamed at her new husband, who put on a dapper display in his blue tux.

It was an even more poignant day for Michelle, whose fiancé died in 2015 from cancer at the age of 34.

The Anatomy of a Scandal star was engaged to marry Irish publicist John Dineen, who died 15 months after being diagnosed with a rare form of the disease.

Speaking about her partner in 2017, Michelle said she felt like she was still a widow despite not marrying John.

‘We were engaged, and married at heart, and so I do consider myself a widow,’ she told The Guardian.

She spoke at her late fiancé’s funeral in Cork, saying: ‘Whether in his work or his personal life, John was extremely loyal.

‘It was clear that when John was in your corner he was there.

‘I was honoured to know John, to love him and be loved by him.

‘He was my friend, my King, my hero, my everything. We celebrate him, we honour him and we will miss him.’
