Leonardo DiCaprio May Be Breaking His Dating Rule After Being Seen Partying With His Buddy’s Ex at Coachella

Even though the Queen of Coachella herself Vanessa Hudgens wasn’t in attendance for the first weekend, that doesn’t mean the iconic festival wasn’t a weekend to remember. Not only did Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes seemingly get back together, but it seems Leonardo DiCaprio may have a new lady love that is a total 180 from his usual dating preferences.

While we all know the Titanic star has been straying a bit from his infamous dating up to 25 years old pattern, his seemingly newest flame is one no one quite expected. If your eyes were glued to all of the Coachella news, then chances are you saw DiCaprio and his best buddy Bradley Cooper’s ex Irina Shayk partying all night long.

In photos obtained by Page Six, the two were seen together at Levi and Tequila Don Julio’s Neon Carnival on the night of April 15 and the early morning of April 16. (However, they weren’t alone because one of the Oscar winner’s close buddies Stella Maxwell was dancing alongside them!)

Now, this pairing comes as a bit of a shock. Not only is it because Shayk is 37 years old (over 12 years older than his usual dating pattern), but fans were convinced Shayk and her ex Cooper were on the road to reconciliation. Just a couple of months ago, the pair were seen packing on the PDA and going on vacations together, wanting to bring baby number two into the world. (They already share a daughter named Lea De Seine, 6!)

Whether this is a one-off dance party or a hint that something more is coming from the unexpected pair, fans are itching to know more.

Leonardo DiCaprio has dated many A-listers over the years like Gisele Bundchen, Camila Morrone (who he dated for five years until two months after she turned 25), Kate Moss, Bar Raefeli, and more. Over time, fans noticed a pattern that he more or less follows, where he dates women until the cutoff age of 25.

However, in the past few months, he’s been linked to stars like Gigi Hadid (who was 27 at the time they were seen together). So this new possible romance with Shayk isn’t totally out of the blue!

Back in 2015, Shayk and Cooper got together after meeting through mutual friends, hitting it off almost immediately. They become one of the sweetest couples in Hollywood, looking so in love with every red carpet appearance they went to. They later welcomed a daughter in 2017 named Lea De Seine. And while they split in 2019, they kept a healthy co-parenting relationship and friendship throughout.

Then in early 2023, they were seen out together multiple times, packing on the PDA, and were reportedly trying for baby number two. As of April 2023, it’s unclear where they stand romantically.
