Katy Perry's entourage 'takes up 5 dressing rooms' ahead of Coronation Concert

05/07/2023

Katy Perry has proven quite the star turn so far at King Charles III’s Coronation, and it sounds like her entourage for Sunday’s special celebratory concert will reflect that.

The US chart-topping singer, who is headlining the bill alongside the likes of Take That and Lionel Richie, already stole the show on Saturday with some very relatable antics.

Invited to the coronation itself too at Westminster Abbey, the 38-year-old, who opted for a glamorous lilac Vivienne Westwood outfit with matching hat, first caught the public’s attention when she struggled to find her seat for the service – before suffering a little stumble on her way out too.

However, all eyes will rightly be on her again come tonight’s show, as the Firework singer is known for putting on quite the spectacle.

And with great displays of entertainment gold come great entourages it seems, as Katy is reportedly expected to have a team of more than 50 aides on site today at Windsor Castle.

The team is said to include management, hair and make-up artists, stylists, costume designers, her lighting and sound team and, of course, her backing dancers, according to The Mirror.

She is also said to have been allocated five dressing rooms backstage to accommodate her team, who reportedly travelled by 10 Mercedes people carriers to the venue earlier today.

A source told the publication: ‘Katy has easily the biggest entourage of any on the bill.

‘But she has a trusted team who she always works with and relies upon. They know exactly how she likes things done… and will make sure they’re done to the letter.

‘When it comes to her backstage rider, she isn’t over the top, but there are a few things she always asks for. They make her feel relaxed.’

Katy previously called it an ‘honour’ and said she was ‘really excited’ to have been asked to perform at the coronation concert, telling Extra: ‘I’m an ambassador to one of his foundations, for the British Asian Trust, which primarily focuses on ending child trafficking, which is a huge issue of our time that people don’t talk enough about, and it just aligned with all my values… He asked me to sing and it all aligned.’

Fans have already have fun predicting what the star could pull out the bag for her performance on Sunday night, including suggestions that will see her in a bra made of crowns, to changing the lyrics to her first hit I Kissed a Girl to ‘I Kissed an Earl’.
