Jennifer Lawrence joins Twitter to demand justice for Breonna Taylor

Jennifer Lawrence is urging fans to join her in demanding justice for Breonna Taylor and joined Twitter in her bid for government officials to take ‘immediate action’.

The Hunger Games star joins a number of celebrities, including Beyonce, who are calling for officers involved in Breonna’s death back in March to be prosecuted.

Taylor, an emergency medical technician, died aged 26 after being shot dead by police officers who entered her home in Louisville carrying out a no-knock search warrant.

Officers shot inside the apartment multiple times – exchanging gunfire with Taylor’s boyfriend Kenneth Waker – and hit her eight times while she was sleeping.

Calling for justice, Jennifer joined Twitter – after previously refusing to sign up to the social media platform – asking Attorney General Daniel Cameron to take action and hold those responsible for Breonna’s death accountable.

In an open letter, she said: ‘As a Louisvillian, as a human being, I cannot be silent. I join all those who are speaking out against this grave injustice, calling upon Attorney General Daniel Cameron to take immediate action to hold those responsible for her death accountable…
