02/12/2020We haven’t seen Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling on any red carpets this season — and we’ve finally figured out why. While all the other A-list celebs are out getting their pictures taken, Mendes is home enjoying home-cooked meals from Gosling every night, then sending him back to the kitchen to bake some cookies for dessert. Okay, that’s not exactly what Mendes said, but it’s pretty close! She’s been talking up her husband’s cooking skills on Instagram — we’re just filling in the details.
Comments By Celebs caught this very important piece of information in the comments section of Mendes’ recent Instagram post. When a fan commented asking whether she and Gosling cook at all, Mendes wrote back: “Ryan is an amazing chef AND baker. For reals. Incredible. No joke.” Of course, he is.
Mendes went on to joke about her own cooking skills in comparison: “I’m not sure that what I do is cooking. Its more like steaming veggies and juicing and making rice.”
“He really cooks,” she added. “I survive.” LOL. We can definitely relate to feeling less-than-confident in the kitchen, but her version of not cooking still sounds way healthier than ours (ordering take-out three times a week).
In the end, who cares whether Mendes can cook? She has Gosling at home, skipping every award show, after party, and red carpet because he’d rather make her and their two daughters freshly baked bread. We, personally, would never enter a kitchen again.
