David Harbour plants kiss on Lily Allen on red carpet for star's new series03/30/2023
Lily Allen was joined by proud husband David Harbour at the launch of her new series Dreamland.
The musician and actress leads the cast of the new Sky Original series, joined by the likes of Doctor Who star Freema Agyemen as well as Gabby Best, Kiell Smith-Bynoe and Aimee-Ffion Edwards.
Created by Catastrophe and Bad Sisters star Sharon Horgan, it follows Lily’s character Mel as she visits her sister at a coastal town ahead of a bab shower – here chaos, naturally, ensues.
The cast and crew descended on London on Thursday for the red carpet premiere of the series, with Lily joined by her Stranger Things star husband, who was pictured planting a proud kiss on her cheek as they posed for cameras.
Lily looked incredible in a low-cut, studded, glittering black dress, her platinum-blonde locks sleek and swept back, with a slash of bright red lipstick.
She grinned for photographers as she and David held their arms around each other, David looking smart in a dark suit, white shirt and purple tie.
And while he looked serious at first, he then broke into a happy grin and pointed at the cameras.
LDN chart-topper Lily also posed with co-star and pal Freema, who looked incredible in a sunny yellow-and-peach dress with a slit up the site, her hand on her hip as she gazed confidently into the cameras.
Seconds later however, the pair were in stitches, snapped in peals of laughter as Freema turned her face away.
Also on the carpet were the pair’s co-stars Kiell, Aimee-Ffion and Gabby, with Kiell looking snazzy in a boat hat, pink corduroy suit and a white t-shirt, set off with a gold chain and bracelet.
Aimee-Ffion stunned in a white collared crop top and black skirt, while Gabby wore a smart babby blue pantsuit with a button-up top.
The stars each looked cool and confident, sure in the success of the new series – as did creator and producer Sharon.
The Irish icon was snapped alongside fellow producer Celia Mountford, looking class in denim-like trousers and a tartan waistcoat, with pink highlights in her hair.
Celia stood out in a bright pink suit, her hair loosely tied up and her arm around Sharon.
The programme sees Lily’s character and her sisters attempt to manifest a baby girl for their eldest pregnant sister – but not long later, Mel discovers that she’s actually pregnant herself.
The description for the six-part series reads: ‘Set in the sun-drenched British seaside town of Margate, it is a dark comedic exploration of multi-generational female relationships, and their (somewhat dysfunctional) family dynamics.’
Dreamland is an adaptation of the 2016 short film of the same name, which starred comic actress Morgana Robinson and was also created by Sharon.
Dreamland will air on Sky Comedy and streaming service NOW later this year.
