David Beckham kisses daughter Harper on the lips in new video

Rewind to 2017 and David Beckham caused a right ol’ stir on Instagram when he uploaded a photo of himself kissing his daughter Harper on the lips.

Trolls had a field day with the photo, with even Piers Morgan calling the former footballer ‘weird’, but Becks was quick to hit back and insist he is ‘affectionate’ with all his kids.

Proving he really doesn’t care what others think about his parenting, David was seen kissing his daughter, seven, while holidaying with his family in Miami recently.

His wife Victoria posted a video of the cute moment to Instagram while David and Harper were enjoying a boat ride together.

While some will take the clip for face value and being pretty sweet, it will no doubt spark another big debate among trolls – but we guess Becks just doesn’t really care.

The doting dad looked thrilled to be relaxing with his brood and little Harper appeared to be having a ball too.

David had previously addressed criticism for kissing Harper and insisted in a Facebook Live in 2017: ‘I kiss all my kids on the lips.’

‘Brooklyn, maybe not. Brooklyn’s 18, he might find that a little bit strange,’ he said, adding: ‘I’m very affectionate with the kids. It’s how I was brought up and Victoria, and it’s how we are with our children.’

‘We want to show our kids love and we protect them, look after them, and support them, and you know, we’re very affectionate with them,’ he said.

The Beckhams had been in Miami on a family getaway, where David is launching soccer team Inter Miami CF.

He shared a photo of himself, Victoria and their four children – Brooklyn, 20, Romeo, 16, Cruz, 14, and Harper – posing together.

Becks wrote: ‘Thank you Miami what a beautiful week , creating special memories & so excited@intermiamicf .. So many more to come.’
